In the beginning…

It’s been said that Brewnitarianism was created by true visionaries as a profound and world changing movement that archeologists and sociologists will be discussing in several millennia as a pivotal point in human history. Two ordinary people with questionable judgement also claim to have created it merely as a fun way to bring people together in a time of great division over the things we all seem to enjoy: Coffee, Tea and Beer.  We’ll leave it to you to decide which is true. Regardless of its beginnings, the ‘Brewed Life’ really is the thread that binds almost all of us together.  We should start celebrating that.

Magic happens when water is filtered through beans, leaves or boiled with hops. Most of the great ideas in human history were hashed out after a couple of beers among friends on a Saturday night.  Some of the most successful negotiations and meaningful conversations were had over a shared coffee.  Wars were fought over tea.  We don’t have any supporting evidence for most of that of course…but we all know it’s true.

We all enjoy the company of like-minded people and shared experiences: It provides a sense of community and belonging as it brings out the best in us.  We can truly do great things when we come together and help each other be the best versions of ourselves. Brewnitarianism is the philosophy of life honoring that which brings us together and helps us to be our peak selves.  Many consider their morning coffee almost a religious experience.  There is no shame in that.  Embrace it.  Have fun with it.  You may go to a different church than your neighbor…or belong to a different political party than them, but we assure you, whether you drink IPAs or take cream and sugar in your latte, you both live the brewed life.

There aren’t many hard and fast rules to be a Brewnitarian, which is makes being one easy, but we do have a handful of ‘strong suggestions’.  The one rule above all, however, is “don’t be an asshole”.  If you drink Coffee, Tea or Beer, and can avoid being an asshole, you may secretely already be a Brewnitarian.  Frankly, It’s well past time to call yourself one. Oh, and we’re also about actively doing something to make the world better: whether that is helping raise funds for charity, volunteering time to help those in need or something else that fits.

We’ve got big plans, so follow us at Brewnitarianism.com, on Facebook, Instagram, or Threads and join the community of fellow Brewnitarians.  Together we’ll share helpful tips for a meaningful life, celebrate our love for brewed beverages, create opportunities to raise funds for charity, and very likely conduct ourselves in a completely unserious way. Life is short…have fun with it and be the best YOU you can be…one sip at a time.
